Under the direction of the assigned Supervisor, Teacher Coach or Site Director, the Professional Educator License (PEL) teacher works collaboratively with the entire classroom team to implement a formal child screening process, a researched-based curriculum that addresses the Illinois Early Learning Standards, on-going child assessment, parent involvement and community collaboration. All work to be completed with minimum supervision and in accordance with organizational standards.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree and Valid Professional Educator License with Early Childhood Education Endorsement
*This is a 10-month position*
While we desire for this job posting to be comprehensive, all aspects of the position may be amended at any time at the discretion of IAFC including job duties, work location and/or work schedule.
$3,000 sign-on bonus for external hires (50% - 90 days after start and 50% at end of program year, if employed by IAFC). Hiring range starts at $53,000, but is based on experience. This position will work in the south and western suburbs of Chicago IL Action for Children is EEO/M/F/V/D employer.
