SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Family Resources Supervisor, the Family Resources Coordinator serves as an assigned team’s troubleshooter with problem or difficult cases, point person for Illinois Action for Children’s Family Resources programs including but not limited to the IDHS Child Care Assistance Program, parent referral services, and Health and Safety Department. Acts as a liaison with the Quality Assurance and Program Integrity Department. All work to be completed with minimum supervision and in accordance with organizational standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. The organization reserves the right to add to, delete, change, or modify the essential duties and responsibilities at any time.

  1. Service more difficult calls from parents and providers regarding the IDHS Child Care Assistance Program; ensure problem cases are resolved in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
  2. Serve as team point person for other IAFC programs
  3. Serve as liaison to the Program Integrity and Quality Assurance Department.
  4. Responsible for assisting others by answering questions, providing direction when supervisor is not available. Act in a role of “point person” or “lead” to other positions that perform essentially the same work. Responsible for assignment of work to assigned team. Acts as a mentor to staff on team to assist in cross training activities and familiarity with the Family Resources Program.
  5. Responsible for identifying caseload trends and problematic areas; report these issues back to supervisor. Reconcile and prepare reports on Family Resource activity for assigned team.
  6. Work closely with supervisor and other FR Coordinators to promote consistent implementation of IDHS Child Care Assistance Program and other program functions.
  7. Serve as back-up Family Resource Specialist, Family Resource Support Specialist or Parent Consultant (dependent upon team assigned) on as needed basis to be determined by supervisor.
  8. As needed, scan, verify, and validate documents in State systems. Work to be performed in accordance within agency and State standards.

  10. Other Functions: The organization may assign other functions to the job at its discretion.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree or 60 college credit hours and six months to one year related experience required.
