Chicago Early Learning (CEl) Enrollment Coordinator

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Project Development Manager, the CEL Enrollment Coordinator establishes referral relationships and service-delivery agreements between early learning programs, social service & health providers, faith-based and other organizations. Promotes the importance of enrolling in quality Chicago Early Learning programs by making meaningful connections with community partners and families. Provides education and information on Head Start Programs, Chicago Early Learning Programs, IDHS Child Care Assistance Program and other early learning program options. Serve as a point person for internal and external programs and providers. All work to be completed with minimum supervision and in accordance with organizational standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. The organization reserves the right to add to, delete, change or modify the essential duties and responsibilities at any time.

  1. Builds and develops relationships with key community organizations and families, with a focus on promoting early learning opportunities.
  2. Provides training and technical assistance internal and external stakeholders based on current Chicago Early Learning enrollment policies and procedures.
  3. Connects providers and families to appropriate early learning services and IAFC programs and services.
  4. Understand and be able to communicate to others the complexities of the early care and education systems in Chicago.
  5. Collaborate with various IAFC teams that are focused on community systems development.
  6. Remain knowledgeable of IAFC menu of services, including CCAP policies and procedures.
  7. Participate in team meetings and in-service trainings.
  8. Conducts outreach activities and presentations to provide parents that qualify for the Head Start program information to community organizations and groups.
  9. Update monthly calendar of program activities and outreach events
  10. Collect data and prepare reports for internal/DFSS/CPS use and written consumer education materials.
  11. Maintain information in Salesforce and Smartsheet project management databases.
  12. Execute our workplace core capabilities of: accountability, customer focus, continuous quality improvement (CQI), communication, competent people and clear priorities.
  13. Other Functions: The Organization may assign other functions to the job at its discretion.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Early Childhood Education or related field with at least 18 credit hours of child development and two years work experience with direct childcare OR Associates degree or two years of college classes with a minimum of 60 credit hours in Social Services with at least 18 credit hours in child development with two years’ work experience with direct childcare in which at least one year is in a child care resource and referral program.

  • Ability to attend and participate in required educational programs and staff meetings
  • Available to attend outreach and community events

Hourly Rate: $22 per hour

Location: Chatham
